Introduction The effect of rehabilitation on reducing criminal behavior has been studied for years. There are many types of rehabilitation such as parole, probation, group therapy, and drug therapy. The argument about whether or not rehabilitation works for criminal offenders has been ongoing for many years. In 1974 Lipton, Martinson, and Wilks published The Effectiveness of Correctional Treatment: A Survey of Treatment Evaluation Studies (The Martinson Report), this book basically stated that no form of rehabilitation works in decreasing recidivism in criminals. This paper analyses some recent studies in the hope that Lipton, Martinson, and Wilks were wrong. It is important that this topic is reviewed for a few reasons. First, knowing which rehabilitation methods work and for what kind of criminal is imperative to decreasing the rate of recidivism. If the correct method of rehabilitation can be found, the cost will decrease over all because fewer crimes will be committed. We also hear many other noises like people screaming on the fairground rides; screams suggest pain, discomfit and chaos, we also do not know if these are screams of happiness and joy or pain and sorrow. This would make the audience feel scared or worried because people would not expect a child to say these things. This also relates to the horror genre because the words of the commandments are spooky and relate to vampires or death. Those commandments are slightly different to a Christians belief. The final commandment refers back to the horror genre with death. That was the only test you were going to get. Some did not even go through with the test. Most of us were desperate for acceptance to our best school so that we can get our high school diploma.We could not see any other option becau se if we did not do it, we would not have any chance at all. It was miserable at times, but that's how life goes and life changes.Another effect of doing the paper is that it made you realize what type of person you are and what you are capable of writing an essay about. What I mean by this is that if you did not do it, you could tell yourself, 'I am nothing compared to them.' But you know what, I'm writing an essay right now, just like them.Now that I am in September, and my grade is the lowest, I realize that I have to get back at least my average for it.
